Why work psychology?
Work demands are high. Each day we are contact with many different people who expect us to perform at our best. Our work environment is very competitive and we need to keep up with rapidly changing technology. Just some of the factors that heavily rely on our natural ability to adapt to new situations. Sometimes our mental flexibility is stretched to the limit. We have learned that we need to invest in good physical health. Some companies provide fitness facilities and physiotherapist treatment. All in order to help us to stay fit at work and to better withstand everyday pressures.
Physical exercise is important, but how about the major role that our mental health plays in keeping us fit ? Are we aware that ongoing stressful situations in the end can make us physically ill? Although our work is mainly done with the use of our brains, we ignore to pay attention to our mental health, our capability to relax and feel comfortable within ourselves.
As a work psychologist I can help you to improve mental fitness by finding a good balance. Finding solutions for work related questions. Finding answers that fit your specific needs.
My previous experience of 30 years within international business is a solid basis for my specialisation in work psychology. I know from my own experience what you are talking about. My clients are private persons and companies.

Areas in which I can be of help to you
I operate in roughly three different areas:
- development: improve performance and develop strengths
- prevention or stress management: timely action in order to prevent worse
- recovery: the way back to the workplace after illness or burnout
My aim is to strengthen competences, prevent problems from getting out of control and find answers for work related questions.
What type of help do you need?
I provide management coaching, help with career development or improvement of communication at work, help with deciding what study or job to choose, returning back to work after burnout or illness.
Some examples of questions that I hear frequently:
- I am not sure how to continu my career, what should be my next step?
- Communication with my superior/colleagues is unsatisfactory - what can I do?
- How can I improve the balance between private and work life?
- Lately my energy level is dropping and it takes longer to recharge
- I feel rather insecure in how I function at work, what can I do?
All theory that I use is based on scientific research and is part of the current curricula of the regular universities. I prefer to work with elements from Cognitive Behavoural Therapy (CBT), Solution Based Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Appointments outside office hours can be made. The intake will be refunded at our first session and allows you to make an acquaintance and to decide if you wish to continu working with me. I look forward to meeting you!
